Sir Arthur Ernest Streeton (1867–1943) was an Australian landscape painter and a prominent figure in the Heidelberg School, also known as Australian Impressionism. Born in Victoria, he was inspired by French Impressionism and the works of Turner. Streeton was known for his "en plein air" technique, capturing the light and beauty of the Australian countryside1. His iconic works include Golden Summer, Eaglemont and Still glides the stream, and shall for ever glide. He was knighted in 1937 for his contributions to art
