French pointillism: Achille Laugé (1861-1944)

Achille Laugé was a French painter who was active in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He is known for his association with the Pointillist movement, which was a style of painting that emerged in the 1880s and was characterized by the use of small, distinct dots of color applied in patterns to create the impression of a larger image. Laugé was a member of the Société des Artistes Indépendants, a group of French artists who were associated with the Pointillist movement. Some of his notable works include "The Garden of Earthly Delights," "The Red House," and "The Blue House."
