Anton Hansen was a Danish painter and illustrator who was active in the early 20th century. He was born in 1891 and died in 1960. Hansen was known for his landscapes, still lifes, and figurative paintings, and was particularly interested in the use of color and light in his work. He studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen and later traveled to France, where he was influenced by the Impressionist and Post-Impressionist movements. Hansen exhibited his work widely in Denmark and abroad, and his paintings can be found in museums and private collections around the world. In addition to his work as a painter, Hansen was also a successful illustrator, and his illustrations appeared in numerous books and magazines.
