He was born in Switzerland in 1879 and studied art in Munich before moving to Berlin, where he became associated with the Expressionist movement. Klee's work is characterized by a wide range of influences, including Expressionism, Surrealism, and Cubism, and he is known for his use of bright colors and abstract forms. He was a prolific artist, producing more than 9,000 paintings and drawings during his career. Klee taught at the Bauhaus school in Germany for a number of years and had a significant influence on the development of modern art. He passed away in 1940.

Alexej von Jawlensky was a Russian-born painter who was active in Germany during the first half of the 20th century. Jawlensky was born in Torzhok, Russia in 1864 and studied art in St. Petersburg before moving to Munich in 1896. He spent most of his career in Germany, where he became a prominent member of the Expressionist movement and exhibited his work widely. Jawlensky's work was heavily influenced by the Fauvist movement, and he is known for his bold use of color and expressive brushwork. He died in 1941 in Wiesbaden, Germany.
