Donald Hamilton Fraser (1929-2009) was a British painter known for his abstract landscape paintings and his involvement in the British Abstract Expressionist movement of the 1950s and 1960s. 
Fraser was born in Glasgow, Scotland and studied at the Glasgow School of Art and the Royal College of Art in London. He began his career as a figurative painter, but later turned to abstraction, focusing on the landscape as a source of inspiration. Fraser was known for his bold, gestural brushstrokes and his use of vibrant colors, which conveyed the energy and movement of the natural world. 
He had numerous solo exhibitions during his career and his work is held in public and private collections around the world, including the Tate Gallery in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
