Rose Hilton (1931-2019) was a British painter known for her expressive, figurative works. She was born in London and studied at the Bath Academy of Art and the Royal College of Art in London. Hilton began her career as a portrait painter, but later turned to more expressive, abstracted forms of figural representation. She was known for her bold, colorful paintings, which often featured distorted or exaggerated figures and were inspired by her own experiences and emotions. Hilton had numerous solo exhibitions during her career and her work is held in public and private collections around the world, including the Tate Gallery in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
