Edward Seago (1910-1974) was a British painter known for his landscape and marine paintings. He was born in Norwich, England and studied at the Norwich School of Art and the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Seago traveled extensively throughout his career, visiting many different countries and painting the landscapes and seascapes he encountered along the way. He was known for his attention to detail and his ability to capture the mood and atmosphere of his subjects. 
Seago was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists and had numerous solo exhibitions during his career. His work is held in public and private collections around the world, including the Tate Gallery in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
