Alfred Reth was an Austrian painter and graphic artist who was born in 1884 and died in 1966. He was known for his portraits and landscapes, as well as his etchings and lithographs. Reth studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and was a member of the Hagenbund, a group of artists who were associated with the city's avant-garde movement. Reth's work was exhibited in numerous galleries and museums throughout Europe, and he was also a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna.
