Willem Paerels (1878-1962) was a Dutch painter known for his landscapes, still lifes, and genre scenes. He was born in Rotterdam and studied at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Paerels was a member of the Pulchri Studio, a prestigious artist society in The Hague, and his work was exhibited widely in the Netherlands and abroad. He was known for his precise technique and his ability to capture the beauty of the Dutch countryside and its inhabitants.
