Edouard Vysekal (1890 - 1933)

Edouard Vysekal was a Czech painter who was active in the first half of the 20th century. He was born in 1890 in the town of Kladno in the Czech Republic, and studied art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. Vysekal was known for his landscape paintings, which often depicted the countryside and small towns of his native Czech Republic. He was also interested in still lifes and portraiture, and his work often had a strong sense of atmosphere and mood.

Vysekal exhibited his work widely in Czechoslovakia and internationally, and his work can be found in many public and private collections. He was a member of the Society of Czech Fine Artists and the Mánes Union of Fine Arts, and was recognized for his contributions to the art world with a number of awards and honors. Vysekal died in 1933 at the age of 43.
