Jean-Maxime Relange (France, 1938 - 2017)

 

Jean-Maxime Relange was a French painter who was active in the latter half of the 20th century. He was born in 1938 in Paris and studied art at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. Relange was known for his abstract paintings, which often incorporated geometric shapes and patterns. He was interested in the relationship between color and form, and his work often explored the interplay of different hues and tones.

Relange exhibited his work widely in France and internationally, and his work can be found in many public and private collections. He was a member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts and the Salon d'Automne, and was recognized for his contributions to the art world with a number of awards and honors. Relange died in 2017 at the age of 79.
