Rita Ackermann is a Hungarian-American artist known for her abstract paintings, drawings, and installations. She was born in Hungary in 1968 and immigrated to the United States in the 1990s. Ackermann received her MFA from Columbia University in New York City and has exhibited her work widely in galleries and museums around the world. Her work is held in numerous public and private collections, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City.
